Sandrine Holt was born Sandrine Holt in London on 19th November, 1972. The daughter of Chinese parents and French mothers. At the age of five the family relocated from China to Canada. The model was from Paris and catwalks before her first venture as an actor. Annuka was her first film appearance on screen in Black Robe from 1991. The role she played in the film was nominated for The Genie Award (Canadian Oscar). Rapa Nui Rise In Paradise The Legend of Pocahontas, Dance with the Murderer and Poltergeist The Uncanny Force were the next films. In addition, she made an appearance as a guest on Outer Limits The Unknown Dimension as well as Poltergeist The Uncanny Force. For John Woo s The Thief she was an integral part of the series over 22 episodes. Starship Troopers 2 Hero of the Federation and Resident Evil Apocalypse were released in 2004, however only on DVDVHS. After a series of smaller role in 24 Twenty Four, Runaway and a few other films she received her first bigger role as the main character. Holt started her career in minor guest roles as well as part-time roles in the series. In 2013, she was cast in the leading role in Hostages and was cast as a support character in Netflix's House of Cards. She also portrayed Julie Han in The Returned's US remake. She was cast as the character Dr. Bethany Exner.
